A cool Sunday in Donegal with outbreaks of rain but good weather on the way

It will be a chilly and somewhat overcast day in Donegal, with showers throughout the day.

Temperatures will reach no more than around 7°C or 8°C in a light easterly wind.

Sunday night will see only a slight drop in temperatures, with Met Eireann forecasting lows of 6°C to 7°C.

Monday and Tuesday look set to be dry and bright, with daytime temperatures hitting the mid teens. Southerly winds on Monday will back south east to east on Sunday evening and into Monday, so it may feel a little cooler, particularly in the shade.

Rain is forecast to make a return on Wednesday, though daytime temperatures are expected to remain in the teens throughout the week and over next weekend.
