A man has been treated in hospital after being injured in a late-night assault in Buncrana.
The assault took place at around 10.45pm on Saturday at Railway Road in the town.
Gardaí discovered an injured man after being alerted to an altercation.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance to receive medical treatment for injuries, none of which are believed to be life-threatening.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact Buncrana garda station on 074 9320540.
Anyone who may have dash cam footage from the area of the Railway Road between 10.30pm and 11pm on that date is asked to make it available to gardaí.
