Gardaí renew appeal over fatal collision in Clonmany

A pedestrian in his 80s died following the collision involving a van

Gardaí have renewed an appeal into a road traffic collision in Clonmany in which a pedestrian in his 80s lost his life.

Michael Toland, a father-of-three, died after being struck by a van close to his home at Annagh crossroads at around 6.20pm on Wednesday, September 18.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, which occurred on the R238, to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
