Gardaí in Buncrana are investigating the assault
A man has been injured after an assault by a group of people in the centre of Buncrana at the weekend.
The incident took place at Market Square in the town between 1.45am and 2.45am on Sunday.
Gardaí say the man is reported to have been assaulted by a number of people.
He received medical treatment for injuries, none of which are life-threatening in nature.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who was in the area with a dash cam between the relevant times to contact them in Buncrana on 074-9320540.
