Daniel O’Donnell apologised to fans for having to cancel the show

Daniel O’Donnell has been forced to cancel a show due to a chest infection.

The Donegal singing star took to social media on Saturday afternoon to tell fans the show at Cork Opera House was cancelled.

After playing the venue on Friday night, he posted a video spoken in a hoarse voice, saying that Saturday night’s show was cancelled.

“Unfortunately I have had some problems with a chest infection and I just can’t get the voice to work tonight,” he said.

He wanted to warn fans who had tickets for the show before they left home that it was cancelled.

He said he hopes to reschedule the show at some point and fans will be informed in due course about tickets or refunds.

“I am really, really sorry for the inconvenience but I just cannot sing," he added.
