The funeral arrangements of a Derry man who died from injuries sustained in a road accident in Donegal on Saturday night have been announced.

Eoghán Dawson, 20, died on Tuesday following a single-vehicle collision at Cross, Quigley’s Point at 11.15pm on Saturday. His cousin, Kían Dawson-Kirk, 16, died at the scene and his Requiem Mass was held today.

Eoghán was the beloved son of Lisa Dawson and Connor Smith. Loving and cherished grandson of Michael and Michelle Dawson and the late Pat and Hugh Smith, beloved great-grandson of May Dawson and a much-loved nephew and cousin. An amazing friend and a true gentleman.

Eoghán's remains will be reposing in his grandparents' home, 42 Grainan Drive, Belmont Estate from 6.00pm - 10.00pm on Friday and 12noon - 10.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Funeral from there on Monday, September 2, at 11.45am for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in St Patrick's Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in City Cemetery.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to The Men's Ministry at The Hope Centre, Cornerstone City Church, Duke Street Derry BT47 6DQ.
