Teenager killed and man injured in single-vehicle crash in Inishowen

A teenager has died in a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Inishowen.

He was fatally injured in the collision which took place on the R240 at Cross, Quigley’s Point at around 11.15pm on Saturday.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast for treatment of injuries which are believed to be serious. The road remains closed to allow for a forensic examination.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make the footage available to gardaí.
