Geraldine Mullan organised the fourth annual charity motorcycle run. This year's chosen charity is Summit to Sea for MND which Adrian Harkin had been raising money for before he passed away.

The ride took place on Saturday July 27. Summit 2 Sea is a charity that aims to support people with motor neuron disease. They describe themselves as more than just a fundraising campaign; it's a testament to the human spirit and a beacon of hope for those affected by MND. Adrian's personal journey with MND has inspired us to come together, raise awareness, and support vital research efforts to find treatments and, ultimately, a cure for this devastating disease.

After the ride everyone went back to the Mullan Hope Centre for soup and sandwiches.

“It was a great turnout with over 70 bikers from over Donegal, as well as some from Dungiven, Tyrone and Galway” commented Geraldine.

Geraldine got involved and rode on the back of a motorcycle for the last few kilometres of the Inishowen 100. Another mother did the same as she was doing it in memory of her daughter who passed away earlier this year.

Geraldine is still collecting the sponsorship cards, so they haven’t got a final tally yet but they hope to have it by the end of the week. Once this is done she plans on organising a cheque presentation to the Harkin family.
