A family returned from a holiday to find a quantity of tools stolen from their shed while their car was also searched in the incident at Ballyboe, Ture, Muff

New figures reveal shocking extent of burglaries in Louth

A family in Muff returned from a holiday recently to find that their property had been burgled.

A quantity of tools was stolen in the incident at Ballyboe, Ture, Muff, between Wednesday, July 10 and Thursday, July 18.

The family returned from their holiday to discover that a few of their sheds had been broken into and a quantity of tools had been stolen. Their car was also entered and searched.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have observed suspicious activity in that area over the course of that week to make contact with Gardaí.

“Any relevant information should be passed on to Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540 or to the Garda Confidential Line.”
