Inishowen woman’s plea for someone to take her sheep

“If I am unable to get someone to help and give these sheep a sanctuary, the animals will be sent to slaughter,”

A woman based in north Inishowen is looking for someone to take her sheep and give them a full-time home.

Elizabeth from Tremone Bay, Greencastle, has an animal rescue centre, which she is planning to leave.

Elizabeth is looking for someone with the necessary land who might be able to help look after 12 sheep and give them plenty of space to roam.

She is giving them away to a good home - free of charge - but would like to keep all of them together. You can call Elizabeth on 00447888685206

Elizabeth doesn’t think they would be suitable to a farmer as the rams have all been neutered and doesn’t want them going to a farm. She has raised the sheep since they were lambs until now, when they’re three years of age, and they must find a home by December she warned.

“If I am unable to get someone to help and give these sheep a sanctuary, the animals will be sent to slaughter,” she told DonegalLive.
