The weather station at Finner recorded Ireland's highest gust speed last month.
Malin Head recorded the highest mean wind speed in Ireland and the most days with gales, Met Éireann's monthly statement shows.
Storm Kathleen lashed Ireland in April and a gust measuring 61 knots, or 113km/h was reported on April 6 at Finner.
This was the highest gust recorded at any of Ireland's weather stations.
Malin head had the highest mean wind speed of 27.8km/h with gales reported on seven days during the month.
Up to to strong gales were reported on April 6 during storm Kathleen. The number of days with gales ranged from zero days at a few stations to five days at Malin Head.
Above average rainfall was recorded everywhere in the county with rainfall of 79.5mm noted at Finner.
