The woman appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court
A woman has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of fraud charges.
Wendy MacBean (60) of Railway Park, St Johnston, appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
She was charged with a total of 25 charges relating to fraud including defrauding HMRC out of £250,000 by claiming Foyle Youth and Community Association had received donations of £1,000,000 between October 27, 2017, and December 3, 2018.
She is also charged with nine counts of fraud by false representation, nine counts of transferring criminal property and six charges of forgery.
It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. MacBean chose not to make any statement and called no witnesses. She was returned to Derry Crown Court on May 22 and released on bail.
