Storm Isha latest: Most schools to open today as ESB works to restore power to 240,000
Over 1200 properties in the Buncrana area were left without power on Saturday morning.
Two outages were reported to the ESB on Saturday, one leaving 419 homes and businesses in the dark with the other affecting some 814 customers.
The power cut arrived as Storm Kathleen began to hit parts of Ireland.
An ESB spokesperson said: “We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”
Separately, 20 customers are without power in the Derrybeg area of west Donegal after an outage was reported just before 8am.
Storm Kathleen will bring very strong and gusty southerly winds, with coastal flooding and wave overtopping likely.
Showers and sunny spells will spread from the southwest this morning and continue through the day.
