Gardaí have appealed to anybody who may have travelled in that area in the early hours of this morning
Occupants in a St Johnston home suffered a “deeply traumatic” experience when their kitchen window and the bedroom window were smashed in the early hours of this morning.
The incident occurred at Tullyowen early on Tuesday morning, between 12:10am and 12:50am, with the occupants in bed.
“Thankfully nobody was hurt and access was not gained to the house,” a spokesperson for An Garda Siochana said. “This was a deeply traumatic incident for the residents and we are anxious to progress our investigation into the matter.
“We appeal to anybody who may have travelled in that area in the early hours of this morning and who may have observed any suspicious vehicles / people/ activity in the area to make contact with us.
“If anybody travelled in the area with a dash cam between midnight and 1am we ask them to make the footage available to us. Gardaí may be contacted in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 in relation to this incident. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111.”
