Helen Robins is the new chairperson of the Carndonagh Tidy Town Association, following their Annual General Meeting.

The outgoing chairperson Mickey McClure thanked all those in attendance and paid tribute to the outgoing secretary, Martin Robins, who did trojan work over many years.

The traders were thanked for their generous financial contributions to our Association.

"The work of the very many volunteers who help keep our town and surrounding areas clean and tidy was acknowledged, as was the work of the CE Scheme workers, and the Ukrainian volunteers, they said. "Thanks to the sponsors of our two new benches."

The following were elected to the executive committee: Chairperson: Helen Robins; Asst Chairperson: Charlie McKinney; Secretary: Rosemary Doherty; Asst. Secretary and PRO: Grainne Gillen; Treasurer: Ross Bowyer; Asst. Treasurer: Gerry Doherty. We continue our weekend litter picking rota and from next month onwards will be doing clean-ups, planting, weeding, painting, etc. If you would like to help out in any way, please contact one of the committee members.
