Donegal County Council are hiring a County Librarian/ Culture Division manager.
The council, through the Public Appointments Service, is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons who wish to be considered for the position.
“The County Librarian holds responsibility for leading policy implementation, service delivery and change management in a dynamic and goal-driven environment,” the job posting says.
“The role requires strong leadership, innovation, agility and a commitment to customer service, alongside a high level of professional library and management skills, which include a strategic and operational element while maintaining value for money.
“The Culture Division consists of Donegal Library Service, County Museum Service, County Archives Service, County Heritage Office, Regional Cultural Centre and Donegal Arts Office.
"Reporting to a Director of Service, the County Librarian (Divisional Manager, Culture Division) in Donegal County Council is charged with the responsibility for the planning and management of the Culture Division. This includes Library services, as well as Arts, Museum, Archives and Heritage Services for the Local Authority. This is a senior management role within the Local Authority."
