Sheena (Frances Rose) O'Reilly, (née Callaghan), Clontarf, Dublin / Letterkenny
The death has occurred of Sheena (Frances Rose) )'Reilly, (née Callaghan), (of Clontarf, Dublin 3, formerly Letterkenny, January 1 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Colm; very sadly missed by her children Tom, Katrina and Colm, daughter-in-law Kathy, son-in-law Pat, grandchildren Colm, Cormac and Niamh, sisters Sally and Maureen, cousins Maria and Katrina, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her home on Wednesday, January 3, from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning to St Gabriel’s Church, Dollymount, arriving for 10.30am Mass. Burial afterwards in Fingal Cemetery.

John Nelis, Meetinghouse Street, Raphoe
The death has occurred in the Letterkenny University Hospital of John Nelis, Meeting House Street, Raphoe.

Lovingly missed by his Wife Margaret, daughters Megan, Eilis (Simon) and Mary-Kate (Patrick), brothers Martin, Brenden and Billy, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. John was predeceased by his parents and brother Benny RIP.

John will be reposing at his late residence Wednesday, January 3 from 12noon to 10pm for wake with rosary at 9pm

Funeral leaving his late residence on Thursday afternoon at 1.45pm going to St Eunan’s Church, Raphoe for 2pm Requiem mass followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family time please on the morning of the Funeral.

Hugh Doherty, Newbliss, Monaghan / Carrigart
The death has occurred at his late residence. Deeply regretted by children Carol, Barry, Paul and James, son-in-law & daughters-in-law. Fondly remembered by his brothers, sisters, extended family members, neighbours and friends.

Hugh's remains will repose in his brother's Peter's residence Massreagh, Kilmacrenan, F92 C4V8 tomorrow January 3 from 10am to 11pm. Funeral from there on Thursday morning January 4 for requiem mass at 11am in St. Columba's Church Termon followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Lily (Margaret) Mc Dermott, (née Smyth), Newtowncunningham

The death has occurred of Lily (Margaret) Mc Dermott, (née Smyth), Portlaw, Newtowncunningham.
Peacefully in Nazareth House Fahan, in her 102nd year.

Predeceased by her loving husband Andy and stepsons Andrew, Michael and Sean. Regretted by her stepdaughter Betty (Fitzpatrick) stepsons. Eamon (Australia) and Gerard (Canada). Step son in law and stepdaughters in law, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Relatives neighbours and friends.

Lily's remains will repose in the Oratory in All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham from 7pm to 9pm Tuesday January 2. Funeral Mass there on Wednesday morning at 11am followed by interment in adjoining cemetery.

Margaret Diver, (née Boyce), Ramelton

The death has occurred of Margaret Diver, (née Boyce), 114 Church Street, Ramelton, F92 V0C5. January 1, 2024, peacefully in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, Edward and Clíona, Chanel and William, Kathryn and Bryan, grandchildren Jamie-Lee, Tamara, Kiera, Gemma, Tiarnan, Dáire, Alan and Zara, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Eddie (2019).

Remains reposing at her home. Funeral mass on Thursday, January 4, at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Kathleen Doherty, (née Mc Devitt), Ochtore, Kerrykeel

The death has occurred of Kathleen Doherty, née Mc Devitt, Ochtore, Kerrykeel. She passed away peacefully in Glasgow. 

Deeply regretted by her loving family, Grace, Gerry, Peter and Karen, daughter-in-law Kathleen, grandsons Joseph and Michael, sister-in-law Kathleen, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Willie. Remains will repose at her home in Ochtore, Kerrykeel on Wednesday, January 3, from 6.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 4 at 11am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kerrykeel. Burial afterwards in Milford Cemetery.

William Fobister, Church Road, Killybegs

The death has occurred of William Fobister, Church Road, Killybegs.

Sadly missed by his son Andrew, daughter Ann, daughter-in-law Caroline, son-in-law Packie, granddaughter Niamh, sister May, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his son’s residence in Granny, Killybegs (F94 XP71) on Tuesday until 9pm.
Removal on Wednesday at 10.30am to St Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Mary McDaid (née McCarron) 2 Lisowen Ave, Buncrana

The death has taken place in Donegal hospice, Letterkenny of Mary McDaid, née McCarron, 2 Lisowen Ave, Buncrana and formerly of Middle Illies.

Wife of the late Dominic McDaid. Sister of Jennie, Charlie and the late James, Packie, and Susan RIP.  Sadly missed by her stepson Dominic and stepdaughter Sadie, nieces, nephews, family circle and friends.

Remains reposing at her residence. Removal from there at 7.10pm on Tuesday going to St Mary’s Church Cockhill to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday, January 3, with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

No mass cards please.

Mary Fannon, née Kelly, Ballyshannon and Kinlough, Leitrim

The death has occurred of Mary Fannon, née Kelly, Erne Dale Heights, Ballyshannon and Kinlough, Leitrim.

She passed away peacefully at Sligo University Hospital in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, daughter Liz and granddaughter Samantha-Mary.

Funeral to arrive at St. Patrick's Church via Erne Dale Heights on Wednesday for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with interment in the Abbey Assaroe Cemetery.

Donations if so desired to the Northwest Hospice, The Mall, Sligo c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors or any family member.

Bridie Curran, Wilkinstown, Meath and Rann na Feirste

The death has occurred of Bridie Curran, née McFadden, Balsaw, Wilkinstown, Navan, Meath and Gibbstown, Rann na Feirste. 

She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan. Predeceased by her husband Dominick, infant son John, parents Owen and Cecily and brothers and sisters.

Bridie, will be very sadly missed by her loving family, daughter Catherine (Carry), sons Eugene, Seamus and Martin, grand-children Niall, Aishling, Dominick, Niamh, Sarah, Kevin, Rebecca, Annie and Dominick, great-grandchildren Saorlaith, Ned, Pauric óg, Jarlath, Tom and Éabha, son-in-law Jack, daughters-in-law Barbara, Orla and Olive, sisters-in-law Maureen, Nancy and Annie, nieces, nephews, relatives, and all at Wilkinstown Active Retirement and friends.

Reposing at St. Joseph’s Chapel of Rest, Old Johnstown, Navan (C15 C425) on Wednesday from 4pm with removal at 7pm arriving to The Church of the Holy Cross, Lobinstown (C15 P938) for 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am which can be viewed on https://www.youtube.com/c/JoeFinnegan.

Burial afterwards in Kilberry Cemetery.

Frank Dorrian, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Frank Dorrian, Holloway, London, unexpectedly at his home.

Devoted father of Charlotte, beloved brother to Gerald, Katherine, James and Elaine, and beloved brother-in-law to Marie. Sadly missed by his four nieces and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his loving parents Frank and Margaret, née Doherty, of Ballyshannon and London.

His remains will be reposing at his home, 13 Melchester House, Wedmore Street, Holloway, London on the evening of January 11.

Funeral leaving from there for 10am Requiem Mass on January 12 at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Eden Grove, Holloway, London with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Aiden Garvin, Letterkenny and London

The sudden death has occurred in London of Aiden Garvin, formerly of "Mulroy," Glencar Road, Letterkenny. 

Predeceased by his parents Tom and Una, he is deeply regretted and remembered with love by his partner Caron, London; sister Anne (Tim), Galway; brothers Declan, Dublin; Kevin, (Deirdre), Dublin; and sister Mary, Letterkenny; nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and his wide circle of friends in Donegal, London and beyond.

Owen Gallagher, Eastbourne and Inver 

The death has occurred of Owen Gallagher of Eastbourne, United Kingdom and formerly of Binbane, Inver.

He will be sadly missed and loved by his daughters Catherine and Ciara, his son Michael, his five grandchildren, his sister Nan and his brothers Paddy, Manus, Peter and Gerry.
