The Donegal Mountain Rescue Team located the casualty who had suffered an injury to her lower leg

A woman has had to be removed by ambulance after injuring her leg in a fall at Malin Head.

The woman was assisted by the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team (DMRT) which was tasked by the National Ambulance Service at around 1.40 on St Stephen’s day.

The DMRT located the casualty who had suffered an injury to her lower leg.  The casualty was stabilised and stretchered off the hill to the waiting ambulance. The  DMRT was stood down before 5pm.
