The following deaths have taken place:

Moya Jane O’Doherty, Buncrana
 
The death has taken place in Buncrana Community Hospital of Moya Jane O’Doherty, (Solicitor) 12 Pillar Pk, Buncrana.

Daughter of the late Una and Ronnie Hugh C O’Doherty, Cahir O’Doherty Ave, Buncrana.

R.I.P. dear sister of Gearoid, Ronan, Rodrick and Sheena. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family circle and friends.

Remains reposing at McLaughlin’s funeral home from 1pm until 4pm on Thursday December 21 with removal then to St Mary’s Oratory to repose overnight, funeral there on Friday at 10am with burial afterwards in Cockhill cemetery.

Nellie Strain (née Friel), Drumoghill, Termon

The peaceful death has occurred at her home surrounded by her family of Nellie Strain née Friel, Drumoghill, Termon.

Predeceased by her husband Phonsie and brother Paddy. Much loved mother of Kathleen, Mary, Eamon and Harry. Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, her extended family and friends.

Reposing at her home from 11am on Thursday, December 21. Removal on Saturday morning, December 23 at 11.15am to St. Columba's Church, Termon for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Noel Laughlin, Clydebank, Scotland and formerly Letterkenny

The death has occurred in Clydebank of Noel Laughlin, formerly from Ard O’Donnell, Letterkenny. Deeply missed by his loving daughters Geraldine (Letterkenny), Carol and husband Tony (Letterkenny), Teresa and Tam (Clydebank), Annette and husband Mark (Clydebank) and Michelle and husband Seamus (Letterkenny), sons Gerard and partner Anne (Letterkenny), Paul and wife Trudy (Clydebank) and their mother Teresa (Kerrykeel), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother Dessie (Letterkenny), nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Noel is predeceased by his son John (Clydebank), grandson Thomas McManus (Clydebank), brothers Paddy, Damian and Jim, sisters Noeleen Lowe and Mausheen Elliott and his parents Tony and Bridie. Rest in Peace

Noel’s remains will repose at his daughter Geraldine’s residence at 43 Brookfield Heights, Carnamuggagh Lower, Letterkenny F92 P7W0 on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 9pm until 11pm.

Funeral from there on Thursday, December 21, at 10.15am going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral for 11am Mass for the repose of his soul which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment afterwards in St. Columba’s Church Cemetery, Massmount, Fanad.

Martin McAllister, Drumrooske, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Martin McAllister, Drumrooske, Donegal Town.
Passed away at his residence. Predeceased by his parents, Brigid & Charles & siblings, Johnny, Angela, James & Cecilia. Lovingly remembered by his wife Johanna, daughters, Tracey & Cecilia, son Johnny & daughter in law Annie & grandchildren Sefi & Levi. Deeply regretted by his brother Cathal, sisters, Teresa & Philomena & sister in law Isobel, nieces, nephews & friends. Ar dheis de go raibh a anam.

Reposing at Tír Connaíll Funeral Home, Donegal Town, on Wednesday until 9pm. Removal on Thursday morning to St Mary's Church, Killlymard for 11am Funeral Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Funeral Home private on Thursday morning please.

Margaret Mc Eleney, Binion, Clonmany
The death has occurred of Margaret Mc Eleney, Binion, Clonmany. Loving wife of Hugh Mc Eleney (predeceased) much loved mother of Mary, Brid, Domhnall (predeceased), Mairead and Aodhan. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and the wider family circle. May she Rest In Peace.

Her remains are reposing at the home of her daughter Brid and son in law Danny Grant Tornabratley, Clonmany, F93HDP6.

Funeral from there on Thursday December 21 at 10.20am going to St Mary's Church Clonmany for requiem mass at 11am with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Paul Mooney, Glen Lower, Ramelton

The death has occurred of Paul Mooney, Glen Lower, Ramelton, F92 F821, December 18, 2023, suddenly as a result of a road traffic accident.

Deeply regretted by his loving parents Morgan and Gwen, partner Nicolle, sisters Maeve and Julianne and their partners Seamus and David, nana Frances, uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends.

Paul is reposing at his home with wake on Wednesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 21 from 11am until 10pm. Those attending the wake between the hours of 6pm and 9pm should park at St Mary’s Church, Ramelton and a bus will be provided from there.

Requiem mass on Friday, December 22 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mass can be viewed on Church Services TV St Mary’s Church, Ramelton on the following link: https://www.churchservices.tv/ramelton

The death has taken place of Nathaniel Buchanan, Tirhomin, Milford. 

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Maureen, sister Anna, brothers Jim, John, Willie, Fulton, Desmond, Victor, Francis and Kenneth, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brother Sam.

Remains reposing at his home with wake on Wednesday, December 20. Funeral service on Thursday, December 21, at 1pm in Milford Presbyterian Church followed by committal in the adjoining cemetery.
