Kevin O'Kelly, Abbeylands, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Kevin O'Kelly, Abbeylands, Ballyshannon, Donegal, F94 F1C8, November 26 2023. Ex - Dept of Agriculture.

Unexpectedly, at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Beloved son of the late Thomas and Margaret O'Kelly, predeceased by his brother Kieran.

Very sadly missed by his wife Noreen, son Connor (Erin), daughters - Noelle (Brett) and Mary (Terence). Adored Grandad to Oran, Audrey, Arion, Camille, Saorla, Fíann, brothers and sisters Joe (Bridget), Sean (Catherine), Maura and the late (Jimmy), Ann and the late (Grantley), Noel (Margaret), Michael, and the late (Juliana), Francis (Ann), Bríd (Tom), Deirdre (Brendan), Niamh (Terry), sisters-in-law Maria and Claire O'Connor, brother-in-law Michael Caslin, nephews, nieces, neighbours, all his dear friends and extended O'Kelly and O'Connor families.

Reposing at his family home on Wednesday from 2pm until 7pm, private to family at all other times. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am in Saint Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon, followed by burial in Abbey Cemetery.

Jim Campbell, The Close, Raphoe
The sudden death has taken place at Letterkenny University hospital of Jim Campbell, The Close, Raphoe. Jim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Betty, son Rodger, daughter-in-law Gemma, son Gregg, daughter-in-law Angela and daughter Zara.

Devoted grandfather of Damien, Chloe, Rhys, Ethan, Dylan and Ryan, also great granddaughter Lily. Treasured brother of Jean Wallace and brother-in-law of Robin Strain, and niece Mandy, also nieces Lynn, Rachel and nephew Mark. Jim will be missed by his wider family circle, good neighbours and many friends.

His remains will repose at his home on Tuesday, 28 and Wednesday 29 November. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday 30 November at 1.30pm for 2pm funeral service in Carnone Presbyterian Church followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.  Family time please from 10pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Kitty Devenney, née McElhill, 1 McCrea Park, Drumquin

The death has taken place of Kitty Devenney (née McElhill) 1 McCrea Park, Drumquin.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral on Wednesday November 29 at 11am in St. Patricks Church, Langfield, Drumquin.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Requiem Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam.

Katie Kearney, Caramore, Glentogher, Carndonagh

The death has taken place at her home of Katie Kearney, Caramore, Glentogher, Carndonagh.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving there on Thursday at 10.15am going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carndonagh for Requiem Mass at 11am with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Gladys Carr, née Mc Kernan, Moross, Tamney, Fanad

The death has occurred of Gladys Carr, née Mc Kernan, Moross, Tamney, Fanad. She passed away 

peacefully at her home in Moross, Tamney, Fanad. Predeceased by her husband Ben. Deeply regretted by her sons Jeremy, Gareth (Dublin) and Wesley, her sisters Phylis Wilson (Tullybeg, Ramelton) and Joan Rodgers (Gortnavern), by her daughters-in-law Julie and Jean and her grandchildren Joshua, Peter, Adam, Jacob, Suzannah, Sarah, Darren and Nathan. Sadly missed by her extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Her remains will repose at her late residence in Moross. Removal from there on Wednesday, November 29 at 1.20pm going to Fannet Presbyterian Church, Kerrykeel for 2pm Funeral Service, with burial afterwards in Rossnakill Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations, in lieu of flowers to Oncology Day Service at LUH and the Kerrykeel Girls Brigade c/o any family member or Mc Ateer Funeral Directors.

Nuala Dignan, née Herron, Donegal Town and Kildare

The death has occurred of Nuala Dignan, née Herron, Donegal Town and Ballymore Eustace, Kildare.

She passed away peacefully at Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Killybegs, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Malachy Dignan. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sister Una, brothers, Ignatius and Cathal, nieces and nephews, kind neighbours and friends. 
Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 29 in the Church of St. Joseph and St. Conal, Bruckless at 1pm, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan.

Bernard McDevitt, Manchester, England, and formerly of Frosses

The death has occurred of Bernard McDevitt, Manchester, England, and formerly of Frosses.

He passed away in his 102nd year. He will be sadly missed by his relatives and many friends.
 
His remains will be reposing at Gallagher's Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles, F94X02N, on Tuesday, November 28 from 7pm until 8.30pm.
 
Removal from there on Wednesday, November 29, going to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses, for 11am Funeral Mass, with interment afterwards in the Cranny Road cemetery.

Seamus Ward, Friary Lough Eske, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Seamus Ward, Friary Lough Eske, Donegal Town. He passed away peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Breege. Dearly loved father of Ann, Caroline and Eileen.
 
Sadly missed by his sons-in-law John, Denis and Michael. His adored Grandchildren Sean, Caitlin and Ryan. Brothers Gerry, Brian, Dom and Christy.
 
His brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws nephew’s, nieces, cousins, extended family friends and neighbours. Predeceased by his brother Patrick.
 
Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday, November 28 at St. Mary’s Church, Killymard, at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Eileen Gallagher, née Mc Glinchey, Donegal Road, Ballybofey

The peaceful death has occurred at the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny, of Eileen Gallagher, née Mc Glinchey, Donegal Road, Ballybofey.

Beloved wife of the late Jim and much loved mother of Carmel (Eugene), Breda (Willie) Marina (Danny) and the late Liam. Predeceased by brothers Bernard, Bill and brother-in-law Aidan. Sister of Gerry, Attracta and Kieran, Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren Seamus, Daniel, Philip, Paul and Matthew, great-grandchildren Amy, Cara, Cian, and Cade, sisters-in-law Brid, and Olive, extended family and friends. 

Remains reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar.

Moya Kirkpatrick (née O’Donnell) Gweedore and Monaghan

The death has occurred of Moya Kirkpatrick (née O’Donnell), fondly remembered as Mháire Bheg Dhoiminic in Donegal and teacher in Monaghan; Magheraboy Road, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly Middletown, Gweedore.

She passed away peacefully at The Louth County Hospital, Dundalk, Sunday, November 26. Predeceased by her four baby angels, her mother Isobelle, brother Mark and Donegal sisters Annie and Bella. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband Barry, her loving children Anthony, Jennifer, Sharon and Barry, son-in-law Derek, daughters-in-law Diane and Lisa, grandchildren Brógan, Keavey, Jamie, Piper, Leila, Daniel, Mila and Liam, her London brothers Micheál, Jimmy, and Francis, sister Anne and Donegal sister Brid, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm.

Removal on Wednesday from her residence on foot via the Bridge to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross A81 K253 arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Carrickmacross. House private, please.

Kathleen Gildea née Shovlin, Monargan, Ardara

The death has taken place at The Harbour lights Nursing home, Killybegs, of Kathleen Gildea née Shovlin, Monargan, Ardara.

Predeceased by her husband Vincent and her sons Hugh and Patsy.

Deeply regretted by her loving family daughters Mary, Phyllis and Theresa and her son Bernard.

Sadly missed by her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, son-in-laws, relatives, neighbours and friends

Her remains will repose at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield (F94N923) on Tuesday from 3pm to 5.30pm followed by removal to The Church Of The Holy Family Ardara arriving at 6pm.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday afternoon at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has taken place at her residence 27 Riverview, Gransha Road, Buncrana of Dovile Auciute partner of Audrius Degimas, mother of Deimantas and Lukas, daughter of Magdute and the late Roland RIP, sister of Karolis and Sarunas.

Remains reposing at McLaughlin & McLaughlin’s funeral directors, Main Street, Buncrana, on Monday, November 27 from 6 to 9pm.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, November 28 at 9.40am going to St Mary's Oratory Buncrana for 10 o’clock Requiem Mass with cremation afterwards in Lakeland Crematorium Cavan at 2.30pm

The death has taken place at his home of Micheál Seamus Ó Gallchóir, (Michael James), Chemist House, Bunbeg, originally of  Cotteen, Derrybeg.

His remains are reposing at his home.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 28, in St. Mary’s Church, Derrybeg at 11am,  with interment afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery.
