If you’re watching the RTÉ weather in the coming weeks and months and see one of Donegal’s most famous landmarks, here’s how.

Running for over 20 years, the RTÉ Weather Photo Competition continues to be as popular as ever, offering amateur photographers and the general public an opportunity to showcase and share their talent. Photos are used as a backdrop for the RTÉ Weather bulletins and in the ever-popular calendar, published annually. The aim is to showcase the beauty of seasonal changes in the Irish landscape.

Patricia Kavanagh from Monaghan entered a competition and as a finalist, will have her photograph of Fanad Lighthouse featured. She spends her holidays in Shrove, Greencastle, where she has ties, and decided to try her luck in the annual competition.
