Noreen McShane, Letterkenny / Dungloe

The sudden death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Noreen McShane, Breenagh, Letterkenny, F92 Y938 and formerly of Meenatotten, Dungloe.

Predeceased by her loving husband Connie. Sadly missed by her sons Rory and partner Mandy and Conal and husband John, grandson Paddy, brother Denis London and sister Mary Rossnowlagh.

Remains reposing at her late residence from 6pm -11pm today, Wednesday, July 19, and from 10am-11pm tomorrow Thursday, July 20. Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday, July 21 at 11am in St Columba's Church, Glenswilly with burial afterwards in the family plot in Kilpheak Cemetery.

Frances Graham, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Frances Graham, Summerhill, Donegal Town, Co. Donegal. Loving wife of Billy, and loving mother of Sarah (Paddy) and Jonathan.

Funeral service in Killymard Parish Church at 2pm Saturday, followed by burial in Laghey Parish Graveyard. House private to family and close friends only please. Family flowers only please.

Julia McGinley Dublin / Donegal

The death has occurred of Julia McGinley, (née Sheridan), Rathfarnham, Dublin / Rathmullan.
on July 17, peacefully at home, in the loving care of her family; beloved wife of Michael and loving mother of Paul, Mary, Karen, Michael and Suzanne.

She will be sadly missed by her family, daughter-in-law Allison, sons-in-law Mark and Chris, grandchildren Niamh, Killian and Maia, Niall, James, Meabh and Michael, Sean, Luke and Liam, her sisters Mary, Philomena and Anne (predeceased by her sisters Pam and Kathleen), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and her many friends.

Reposing at Fanagans Funeral Home, Rathfarnham on Wednesday, July 19 from 7pm-9pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday, July 21 at 1.15pm in Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham followed by burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery.

Bernard Gillespie, Killybegs

The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Bernard Gillespie, Croaghlin, Conlin Road Killybegs (F94N611). Predeceased by his sons Brian and Martin and daughter Gemma. Sadly missed by his wife Annie, son Sean (Roisin), daughters Lorraine Kennedy (Peter) and Karen McSharry, grandchildren and his sister Mary.

His remains reposing at his home. Funeral Mass on Thursday, July 20 at 11am in St. Mary's of the Visitation Church, Killybegs with interment in the local cemetery.

House is strictly private to the family on the morning of the funeral.


Ellen Doherty, Ballindrait / Strabane

The death has occurred of Ellen Doherty (née Doherty) Cavanacor, Ballindrait, Lifford and 8 Pearse Gardens, Strabane, Tyrone, (BT829AS).

Beloved wife of the late John, much loved mother of Hanna, Marie, Eileen, Joan, Irene, Margaret, Caroline, Sharon, John and late Neil and sister of the late Mary and Neil.

Reposing at her home. Funeral leaving her home on Thursday, July 20 at 9.20am for Requiem Mass in St Mary`s Church, Melmount at 10am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by her sorrowing son, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family circle. Family time please from 11pm. to 11am.

Derek McGrath, Laghey

The death has occurred of Derek McGrath, Trummon East, Laghey. Unexpectedly, at his home. Predeceased by his mother, Dorothy, his father, Michael, brothers, Joe, Sammy and Jim, sisters, Bridie and May.

Derek will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family, his caring wife Bernie, his sons, P.J. and Shane (Elaine), daughters, Amanda (Killian) and Leanne (Chris), hid doting grandchildren, Tyler Jay, Nadia Rose and Brayden. Dearly loved by his brothers and sisters and by his In-laws, extended family and friends.

Removal from his late residence on Friday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St Brigid's Church, Ballintra, for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Funeral Mass may be viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/ballintra

Teresa O'Donnell, Buncrana

The death has taken place, at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Teresa O'Donnell, (née Duffy), Clonbeg, Buncrana. Predeceased by her husband Gerald. Much loved mother of Kevin, Anita, Amanda and Gerald; loving sister of Mary, Charlie and the late Kay. Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by her sons, daughters, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, sister, brother, wider family circle and her many friends.

Reposing at her late residence. Removal from there on Thursday morning, July 20, at 10.30am to St Mary's Church, Cockhill, for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Danny Sharkey, Bridgend

The death has occurred, at his residence, of Danny Sharkey, Elaghbeg, Burnfoot. Retired principal of St Aengus' N.S., Bridgend and former presenter on Highland Radio.

Predeceased by his wife Máire, his daughter Máire and his brother John Patrick. Much loved father of Donal, Patrick and John and dear brother-in-law of Breege Hampson. Deeply regretted by his loving sons, grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, his wider family circle and many friends.

Reposing at Murphy's Funeral Home (F93 PW96) on Wednesday, July 19 until 10pm; on Thursday, July 20 from 4pm to 10pm and on Friday, July 21 from 3pm to 6pm with removal at 6pm to St Aengus' Church, Burt to repose overnight. Requiem Mass Saturday morning, July 22 at 11am followed by interment in Burt Cemetery.

Kathleen Irwin, Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Kathleen Irwin, 19 Mulreany Terrace, Stranorlar. Peacefully at her late residence, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Francie and devoted mother of Maria (Stewart), Geraldine, Patricia (John), Josephine (Duncan), Frank (Caitriona), Veronica (Seamus), Cecilia (John), Rosemary (Martin), Margaret (Alan), Martin (Kathryn), Katrina (Keith), Barry (Zoe), Brendan (Tracy), cherished sister of Jean, Rosemary, Grace, and the late Ian. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her family grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Funeral leaving from her late residence on Thursday, July 20, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am. Interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.

Liz McGlinchey, Letterkenny

The peaceful death took place on Monday, July 17 at Letterkenny University Hospital, of Liz McGlinchey, (née Stewart), Brookside House, Covehill, Port Road, Letterkenny and formerly from West Port, Ballyshannon.

Deeply missed by her loving daughters Karen, Adrienne and Dolores and sons Paul and Ray, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Carmel Revello (Dublin) and Dolores Daggitt (Enniskillen), her good friend Eleanor, nieces, nephews and wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Her remains will be reposing at her late residence on Wednesday, July 19 from 12 until 10pm with Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Thursday, July 20, at 10.30am going to St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny

Private cremation will follow at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Family time on the morning of the funeral, please.


Christy McCarron, St Johnston

The sudden death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Christy McCarron, 384 Ard Baithin, St Johnston.

Lovingly missed by his wife Mary, daughters and sons Sheena, Diane, Louise, Finola, Esther, Imelda, Christina, Ciera, Christopher, Leona, Nicola, Charlotte, Darren, Sophie, sons-in-law, and daughters-in-law, his 15 grandchildren, brother Colm (Scotland), nieces, nephews and all his extended family and friends.

Christy was predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters, may they all rest in peace.

He will be reposing at his late residence on Wednesday, July 19.

Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, July 20 at 10.15am going to St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
