Garda appeal after motorist injured by stone from trailer on Inishowen road

A motorist has been injured by a stone that fell off a trailer and smashed the windscreen of his car.
The incident happened at Lecamy, Moville on the Carndonagh to Moville road on Thursday, July 13, between 7.45am and 8.40am.
The motorist was travelling behind the trailer when a stone fell off and smashed the windscreen of his car.
He was also struck by the stone and had to receive hospital treatment for injuries sustained.

“We appeal in the first instance to any lorry driver who travelled that route on the morning in question with a trailer load of stone to make contact with Gardaí,” a Garda spokesperson said.
“We also appeal to anybody who travelled that route between the times mentioned who had a dash cam to make the footage available to Gardaí. If anybody can assist with relevant information, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Buncrana on 074-9320540.”
