Erection of jet ski signs at Moville and Greencastle welcomed

Councillor Martin Farren has welcomed the erection of new jet ski warning sings at Moville and Greencastle

Jet ski signs have been erected at Glenburnie Beach outside Moville and at Sweet Nellie's Beach at Greencastle.

The move was welcomed at last Monday's meeting of the Inishowen Municipal District by Cllr Martin Farren.

"I appreciate that they were put up so quickly and are there now for the summer. I hope the jet ski users will adhere to them," he said.

He also raised the question of recruiting beach lifeguards for the summer season.

"I know the council is working hard on that and they have run advertisements and hope people will apply for them."

Cllr Farren also asked for an update about the request to replace bins on the Shore Path, Moville.

"They are past their sell-by date and need to be replaced," he added.

The meeting was told the issues would be passed on to the relevant sections.
