A Buncrana business says that someone could’ve been killed when a group of young males threw roof slates down onto the Main Street.

The brazen youths climbed onto the roof of Hegarty’s Home Interiors at around 8.20pm on Wednesday evening.

The group proceeded to pull slates off the roof and launch them blindly over the highest pitch of the roof and onto the Main Street.

The business has identified those responsible and called for them to apologize.

“The slates narrowly missed cars and people walking on the footpath,” Hegarty’s Home Interiors said.

“Someone could have been killed.  We have a picture of the four individuals concerned and have further close up pictures with which we were able to identify them. We would advise a speedy apology.”
