Two truck cabs destroyed in Newtowncunningham treated as suspected arson

Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage that occurred in a yard at Main Street, Newtowncunningham, on Saturday, April 1, between 6pm and 8pm.

Shortly before 8pm Gardaí received a report that two truck cabs were on fire at that location. The fire services attended the scene. The two cabs were destroyed as a result of the fire. It is believed that the fire was started deliberately.

"We ask anybody who travelled in that area between those times and who had a dash cam to make contact with Gardaí," said a Garda spokesperson.
