Mary Duffy McCoy, St. Cecelia's, England and formerly Lower Main Street, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has occurred at her home at St. Cecilia’s, England of Mary Duffy McCoy, formerly Lower Main Street, Letterkenny. Deeply missed by her loving family Anne, Josephine, Hope, Alice, Susan, Gail, Edmond and Tony, sister Annette Duffy (Letterkenny), nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours in London, Drumkeen and Letterkenny.

Mary is pre-deceased by her husband P.J. McCoy and her brothers James Duffy (Letterkenny) and John Charles Duffy (Drumkeen).

Funeral Mass to celebrate Mary’s life will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bromley BR1 3FH at 12 noon on Monday March 27, 2023 and can be live streamed on the Parish YouTube channel by clicking here.

You are invited to join the family after the funeral at Sundridge Park Golf Course, Garden Road, Bromley BR1 3NE to share stories and memories of Mary over lunch. Mary adored vibrant colours and patterns and therefore, if you feel comfortable, we would love you to wear something colourful that makes you happy, as we remember Mary.

Family and friends who are unable to join the family on the day are invited to share their stories with the family by using the following e-mail address: memoriesofmarymccoy@gmail.com.

Over the past 20 years, Mary and her family have been supported by the most remarkable care from two charities, Leonard Cheshire and St Christopher’s Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to either charity in honour of Mary’s memory and to support both organisations to provide the professional expertise and sensitive loving care to others that Mary and her family were so lucky to benefit from.

Brian Mc Dermott, Admiran, Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Brian Mc Dermott, Admiran, Stranorlar, Donegal, F93 YX64.

Peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Judy and much loved father of Brendan, Carol and Sinéad, cherished brother of Terry and dearly loved grandfather to Luke, Emily, and Alex. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, son, daughters, brother, grandchildren, daughter in law Teresa, sons in laws Gavin and Robert, extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at his late residence.

Funeral leaving his late residence on Tuesday, March 21, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, at 11am.

Interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the Parish Webcam at https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar

Beatrice McCauley (née Healey), Lissacholly, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Beatrice McCauley (nee Healey) Lissacholly, Ballyshannon, March 18, 2023, peacefully.

Beloved wife of the late Jim, much-loved mother of Declan (Niamh), Keith (Jule), adored grandma to Megan, Ben and Reilly, brother Larry, sisters Eileen and Ita.

Predeceased by her brothers Michael, Val and John and sister Maura.

Reposing at her home today, Sunday, until 8pm and Monday from 2pm until 8pm. House is private at all other times.

Removal on Tuesday morning at 10.15am to Saint Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon, for 11am Mass of the Resurrection, followed by interment in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, The Rock. Condolences can be left in the condolence section below.

Patrick (Pat) Ward, Orbeg, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Ward, Orbeg, Donegal, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Pat’s remains will be reposing at his late residence in Orbeg, from 1pm until 9pm on Sunday and from 1pm until 9pm on Monday. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Killymard, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private on Tuesday morning, please. One-way system in operation up Orbeg, via Killymard, and down Newtown.

Rita Doherty, Buncrana

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Rita Doherty, 7 Knockalla Drive, Buncrana.

Much loved mother of Carol, Deborah, Elizabeth, Amanda, Zoe, Aisling, Léan, Patricia, Rita-Marie, Derek, Gerard and the late Alan.

Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her daughters, sons, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her extended family, friends and neighbours.

Rita's remains will be reposing at her home Sunday morning March 19 from 11am. Family time please from 11pm to 11am. Removal Tuesday morning March 21 at 10.30am going to Lakelands Crematorium, Co Cavan for cremation at 2pm.

House is private on the morning of the funeral. Cremation is for family only.

Mary Celine Ward (née O'Donnell), Belcruit, Kincasslagh and Dundalk, Louth

The death has occurred of Mary Celine Ward (née O'Donnell), formerly of Belcruit, Kincasslagh and Dundalk, Louth. She passed away on March 16 at her home, Tara, Castleblayney Road, Dundalk.

Beloved wife of the late Michael. Lovingly missed by her daughters Mary, Sadie and Elizabeth and son Eugene, daughter-in-law Anne-Marie and sons-in-law Austin, Seamais and Colin, her adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sister Bried Cookie Boyle.
Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later. 

Kathleen Cleary (née Cunningham), Kinlough, Leitrim and formerly of Kilcar

The death has occurred of Kathleen Cleary (née Cunningham), No. 9 New Houses, Kinlough, Leitrim and formerly of Kilcar.
She passed away peacefully, at Sligo University Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Laurence, her brothers Connie and Jimmy, her sisters Maureen and Nora.

Sadly, missed by her son Brendan and his partner Patricia, her brothers, Sean and Willie, sister-in-law Nuala, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later. 

Rose Whoriskey (née Carr), 32 Dr McGinley Road, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has taken place in St Eunan’s Nursing Home, Woodlands, Letterkenny of Rose Whoriskey (née Carr), 32 Dr McGinley Road, Letterkenny.

Remains are reposing at the residence of her son Robert and Anne Whoriskey, Ardrummond, Ramelton, F92 E2D1, since 3pm on Sunday, March 19.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 21, at 11am in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny, with burial afterwards in New Leck Cemetery.

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Owen McLaughlin, Cloontagh, Clonmany.

Remains reposing at his late residence. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 10.20am going to St Mary’s Church , Clonmany for 11am Requiem Mass, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private please from 10pm to 11am.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Irish Lung Fibrosis Association, c/o any Family member or Comiskeys Funeral Directors.

Neil McCallion, Kindroyhead, Gleneely

The death has taken place at Ard Aoibhinn, Carndonagh of Neil McCallion, Kindroyhead, Gleneely.

Remains reposing at his late residence.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 20, at 2pm in St. Mary’s Church, Bocan, Culdaff, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family time only from 10pm to 2pm.

Family flowers only donations in lieu to Ard Aoibhinn Carndonagh, c/o any family member.

William Morning, Kildare and formerly Glenvar

The death has occurred of William Morning, Kildare, and formerly Glenvar.

His remains reposed at his home with remains to leave his late residence to arrive at St Joseph’s Church Rathmullan on Sunday, March 19.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am with interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Roseann Porter, Tullynavin, Redcastle

The death has occurred of Roseann Porter, Tullynavin, Redcastle.

Remains reposing at her late residence. People are welcome to pay their respects on Sunday to 10pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 11am in St Columba’s Church, Drung, followed by Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu to the Nazareth house, Fahan, Patient Comfort Fund,  c/o any Family member.
