Peter Anderson, Magherapaste, Drumboe Lower, Stranorlar

The death has occurred at Brentwood Manor, Nursing Home, Convoy, of Peter Anderson, Magherapaste, Drumboe Lower, Stranorlar. (F93 V6TY).

Beloved husband of Cathy and much loved father of Paul, Veronica, Bernie, Peter and John, cherished brother of Maura, Roisin, Brian, Margaret and P.J. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife, sons, daughters, in-laws Chris, Marie, Teresa and Dominic, grandchildren, Bernice, Ryan, Niall, Katie, Rowan, Conor, Ainne, great-grandson Shea, extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at his home on Thursday, March 9, from 11am. Funeral leaving his home on Friday, March 10, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am.

Interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the Parish Webcam here.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired to the Patients Comfort Fund, St Joseph’s Community Hospital, care of any family member.

Family time from 10pm until 11am and on the morning of the funeral please.

Mary McShane (née McGlynn), Castlecooly, Burt

The death has occurred of Mary McShane (née McGlynn), Castlecooly, Burt. March 7, 2023, beloved wife of the late William, loving mother of Karen, Gavin and Fiona, a much loved and devoted grandmother and dear sister of Joseph and Eunan.

Her remains will be reposing in her home, Castlecooly, Burt from 5pm on Wednesday.

Funeral from there on Friday at 10.20am for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Aengus Church, Burt.

Interment afterwards in Burt Cemetery.

Dr. Thecla Morgan (née Frost), The Glebe, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has occurred in the loving care of her family at her residence of Dr. Thecla Morgan (née Frost), The Glebe, Letterkenny (F92 F86N) formerly Cratloe, Co. Clare.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Dr. Dan, sadly missed by her family, son Andrew (Dublin), daughters Catherine and Margaret, daughter-in-law Jen, son-in-law Harry, grandchildren Eoghan, Helen, Emma, Daniel and Saidhbhe, sister Veronica (Cork), brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her late residence from 12 noon to 8pm on both Wednesday March 8 and Thursday March 9 with Rosary each night at 8pm.

Funeral from there on Friday, March 10 going to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine, Letterkenny (F92 PN81) for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed online at the Church of the Irish Martyrs YouTube channel here followed by burial in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery.

Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Neily McGroarty, Drumbeigh, Mountcharles

The death has occurred of Neily McGroarty, Drumbeigh, Mountcharles, peacefully, at the Mater Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his son Bernard. Much loved husband of Kathleen Sadly missed by his children Neil (Mary), Eileen (Alan), Andrew, Clement (Tania), Marie (Colin), grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Niall, Shaunagh, Niamh, Aine, Jack, Eoin, Senan, Conor and Tom, brothers Leo and Ned, and all extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at his home, Drumbeigh, Mountcharles, F94 H0K8 on Wednesday March 8 until 8pm and Thursday March 9 from 2-8pm. House strictly private outside of these times and on the morning of the funeral. Please respect the family’s wishes.

Funeral Mass in Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses, Friday, March 10, at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to Mary's Meals to any family member or to John McGowan funeral directors.

Marie Braddon, Drumaghy Park and formerly Garrowart, Ardara

The death has occurred of Marie Braddon, 18 Drumaghy Park and formerly Garrowart, Ardara.

Deeply regretted by her loving family sisters Winafred, Kate, and Eileen. Sadly missed by her brothers in law Paul and Austin, nieces Carina, Elanor and Cassie, nephews Jimmy, Geard, Cian and Jack and her cherished grandnephew Jimmy and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will repose at her former residence at Garrowart F94T8PO until 11pm this evening.

Funeral from there on Thursday morning at 10.30am to the Church of The Holy Family, Ardara for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 11pm to 9am. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to St Shanaghan House Ardara or St Vincent de Paul Ardara c/o any family member.


Patrick McGloin, formerly of Lisahully, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Patrick McGloin, formerly of Lisahully, Ballyshannon. Peacefully at the Ballyshannon Community Nursing Unit.
Predeceased by his brother Brendan. Patrick will be forever remembered by his brothers and sisters; Madge (Michael RIP), Frankie (Kathleen), Charlie (Margaret), Kevin (Mary), Tony (Regina), Loretta (Tony), Noel (Earnest), Carmel (Frank), Oliver (Bernie), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Reposing at John McGee's Funeral Home, Belleek Road, Ballyshannon on Wednesday until 8pm. Removal from the funeral home on Thursday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with interment in the Abbey Assaroe Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Ballyshannon Community Nursing Unit c/o Patrick McKenna Funeral Directors, Ballyshannon.

The peaceful death has taken place of Kathleen Friel, Gortnavern, Coolboy, Letterkenny, F92 P863.
Remains to repose at her home.
Funeral Service at her home on Friday, March 10 at 11am with cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 5pm. Family flowers only.
Donations if desired to the Stroke Unit, Medical 4, Letterkenny University Hospital c/o any family member.

Eileen 'Nellie' Daly (née McDermott) of Glasgow/Roughpark, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Eileen 'Nellie' Daly (née McDermott) of Bearsden, Glasgow and Roughpark, Letterkenny.
Beloved wife of the late Eddie Daly. Deeply regretted by her devoted sons Edward and Paul and loving daughter Anne Marie McLaughlin and son-in-law John and loving daughter, Elaine McGettigan and son-in-law Kevin and grandchildren Eoin, James, Aidan, Niamh, Bryan, Emmett, Cara and Anna.
Predeceased by her parents Neil and Mary McDermott, Termon and her brothers Pat, Glasgow and Hugh, Termon.
Sadly missed by her brothers and sisters Jimmy McDermott, Termon, Tessie Mc Dermott, USA, Peggy McDaid, Glenswilly, Bridie McElchar, Castlefinn, Celia Parke, Knockbrack and Neil McDermott, Termon.
Reposing at her residence in Roughpark, Letterkenny, on Wednesday, March 8 from until 10pm.
Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in the family plot in New Leck Cemetery.
Family flowers only with donations in lieu, if desired, to Donegal Hospice c/o Con McDaid Funeral Directors. Family time from 10pm - 12 noon and on the morning of the funeral, please. Rosary at 9pm.

Richard Doherty (Little), England/Tandragee, Clonmany

The death has taken place in Coventry, England of Richard Doherty (Little), formerly Tandragee, Clonmany.
Husband to Olive, loving father of Claire and Stephen, and devoted grandfather to Roisin, Quinn, Ella, and Dominic. Loving brother of Kathleen, Elizabeth, Daniel, and the late Charlie and Patrick Pius. Dear son of the late Charles and Susan.
His remains arrive at St Mary’s Church, Clonmany, to repose overnight.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, March 8 at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John Gallagher, London/Ardvalley, Ardara

The death has occured of John Gallagher London and formerly Ardvalley, Ardara.
Deeply regretted by his loving family, his children Jason, Jessica, Joseph, James and grandchildren, brothers Tom, Jim and Joseph. Predeceased by his sister Eileen. Sadly missed by his sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Funeral arrangements later.

Simon Nolan, London/Ballydevitt, Donegal Town

The death occurred peacefully at his home in Shirley, Croydon, of Simon Nolan, formerly of Ballydevitt, Donegal Town.
Predeceased by his parents, Ann and Matthew, he is dearly loved and sadly missed by his wife, Philomena (née McGinty, Townawilly), and children, Isabella, Caoimhe, Matthew and Noelle.
Funeral arrangements are to be announced at a later date.

Feargus Ó Raghallaigh, Dunfanaghy/Dublin

The death has occurred of Feargus Ó Raghallaigh, Dunfanaghy, Donegal / Dublin. Died suddenly February 14 at his home in Waikanae, New Zealand, aged 74.
He will be forever loved and sadly missed by Miriam and their daughters Holly and Kate, his siblings Rónán, Éirnín, Dairine, Ultan, Feilim, Tomás and Siún, extended family and his many friends both in Ireland and New Zealand. Predeceased by his partner Trish and his parents Caitlín and Séamus.
The Funeral Service took place in Waikanae on Tuesday, March 7. A memorial service will take place on Sunday next, March 12, 3pm, at Dublin Unitarian Church, St Stephen’s Green.
