Gritters will be out tonight so assume no road is ice-free

The sky is bright and the roads are shining too!

County Council gritters could be operating under the Aurora Borealis this evening

The sky may be lighting up at night thanks to the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) but the roads are shining too thanks to the low temperatures and potential icy patches.

Donegal County Council's gritting fleet is back in action from 7pm this evening treating roads in various parts of the county.
