The routes are two of 67 new or enhanced Connecting Ireland bus services announced on Friday
Two Inishowen bus routes are to get extra services as part of a Government initiative for enhanced rural transport.
The services between Moville and the Malin Head tower and Carndonagh and Buncrana are to receive additional services in the evening and on Sundays under the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan.
The routes are two of 67 new or enhanced Connecting Ireland bus services announced on Friday by Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan under the plan which is aimed at strengthening existing services and connecting more towns and townlands.
The services are provided on behalf of the National Transport Authority by 15 TFI Local Link offices nationwide.
Announcing the new and enhanced routes, Mr Ryan said the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan, which was launched in 2021, “has already played a key role in towns and villages across Ireland and providing people with new choices to travel by bus”.
“But now, we want to go further and build on that success with many more new and enhanced routes planned for 2023.”
