The death has occurred in London England of Christopher Doherty (Christy Gill) The Rock, Foffenagh, Ballymagan, Buncrana, Co Donegal. Christy's remains will arrive at 6pm on Thursday, January 19 to St Mary's Church, Cockhill to repose overnight. Funeral on Friday at 11am with Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Christy will be sadly missed by his sisters Annie ,Kathleen and brother James his in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins Neighbours and friends. Funeral can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/cockhill

Catherine (Kate) McErlean (née Convery), Newtowncunningham

The death has occurred of Catherine (Kate) McErlean (Née Convery) Newtowncunningham Co Donegal (Formerly Coolnasillagh, Maghera) Catherine (Kate) R.I.P. Peacefully at Donegal Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Terence and loving mother of Conor, Ryan and Áine.

Devoted granny of Jake and Amelia. Daughter of the late Henry and Bridie and sister of Paddy Joe, Margaret Teresa, Damien, Henry, Anne Marie and Seamus.

Funeral from her home Monglass, Newtowncunningham, Co Donegal F93PK8P on Saturday January 21 2023 at 11.15am for 12noon Requiem Mass in All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 11pm to 11am

Family flowers only. Donation in lieu to Donegal hospice. Deeply regretted by sorrowing husband, sons, daughter, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Elaine, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and wider family circle.

Mary McGonagle (née O'Donnell) Burnfoot

The death has occurred at her residence of Mary McGonagle (nee O'Donnell), Crislamore, Burnfoot. Predeceased by her husband Jim.

Much loved mother of Denis, John, Hugh, Catherine, William and Peter. Deeply regretted and will be forever missed by her sons, daughter, son-in-law Gerry, daughters-in-law Sadie, Mary, Edel, Theresa and Lily, grandchildren, her extended family, relatives and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at her home from 12 noon Thursday, January 19.

Removal on Saturday morning, January 21 at 10.15am to St Mura's Church, Fahan for requiem mass at 11am followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Anne McHugh (née McCann), Killybegs

The death has occurred peacefully at the North West Hospice after a long illness bravely borne of Anne McHugh (nee Mc Cann), The Commons, Killybegs.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Eugene, daughters Aine and Kathleen, sons in law John and Jason, granddaughters Julia, Ava and Freya, relatives and friends.

Remains reposing at her residence on Thursday from 10am to 10pm. Removal on Friday at 1.30pm to St.Mary of the Visitation Church, Killybegs for 2pm funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Annie Boyle (née Mc Loone), Glenties

The death has occurred at the Killybegs Community Hospital of Annie Boyle (nee McLoone), Loughcrillan Road, Glenties and formerly Aughla and the Croaghs.

Predeceased by her husband Johnny, brothers Michael (Lutton), Johnny (Lutton/Glenfin) and Patrick (Croaghs/Ballinamore) and sisters Breid Devine Glenswilly and Nellie Moy Glenfin.

Survived by sisters Marie Sweeney Ballinamore Fintown, Josephine Bonner and Mary Patton Drumkeen, nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

Reposing at Shovlins Funeral Home, Sandfield Ardara, on Thursday, January 19, from 3.30pm with removal at 5.30pm to arrive at St.Connells Church, Glenties at 6pm to repose overnight.

Funeral mass on Friday afternoon at 1pm with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Funeral mass can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/glenties.

Michael (Tommy) Boyle, Loughfad, Portnoo

The death has occurred of Michael "Tommy" Boyle, Loughfad peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family. Predeceased by his infant daughter Suzanne and sister Mary.

Michael is deeply regretted and sadly missed by his wife Anne, sons Michael (Sharon), Darren (Donna) and daughter Sinead, brothers, sister cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Private removal from Shovlins Funeral Home, Sandfield Ardara for family and close friends to his daughter's residence, 5 Golf Cottages, Clooney F94h7w1 at 4pm today Wednesday (January 18). Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Friday morning for 11am requiem mass in St. Conal’s Church, Kilclooney with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private on the morning of the funeral.

Máire Clinton (née Shiels), Glassagh, Fanad

The death has occurred of Máire Clinton (née Shiels), Glassagh, Fanad. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband Eamonn, brothers Dorby and John, sister Margaret Friel, nieces Áine Friel and Sheila Friel and nephew Seamus O’Brien.

Deeply regretted by her daughter Ann Marie Poole, sons Martin and Seamus and her loving grandchildren Casey, Ciarán, Órla and Éamonn.

Sadly missed by her brothers Danny and Brendan, sisters Bridget McAteer, Sally Gallagher, Grace O’Brien, Angela Blaney, Kate Sweeney, son-in-law Geoff Poole, daughter-in-law Louise Moran, her extended family, neighbours and large circle of friends.

Máire’s remains will repose at her late residence from 10.30am on Thursday, January 19. Rosary at 8pm.

Requiem Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Fanavolty at 1pm on Friday January 20 followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. House private on the morning of the funeral.

Nuala Gallagher, Assaroe View, Ballyshannon

The death has occurred of Nuala Gallagher (née O'Brien), Assaroe View, Ballyshannon and formerly of Belfast.

Peacefully at her late residence in the loving care of her husband Jackie, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her

parents James & Sheila and father-in-law Josie.
 
Nuala will be forever remembered by her husband Jackie, much loved mother of Niall (Pam), James (Stacey), Emma and Tony. Much loved by her grandchildren Kurt, Nicole, Mark, Joe and Rory.

She will be sadly missed by her mother-in-law Rose, brother Danny (Margaret), sisters Sheila, Jacinta (P.J.), and Angela (Mark) and her sister-in-law and dear friend Avril, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral on Friday to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Ballyshannon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am with interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, The Rock, Ballyshannon.

Anne Kelly, (née Mc Hugh), Ballybofey

The death has occurred, at her late residence, of Anne Kelly, (nee Mc Hugh), 3 St. Vincent’s Close, Ballybofey and formerly Meenglass.

Beloved wife of the late Harry and much loved mother of Paddy, Johnny, Harry and William, cherished sister of Matt, (England) and the late Denis, Jamie, Paddy, Joe, Mary and Katie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons, daughters in law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at her late residence on Wednesday, January 18, from 5pm. Funeral leaving from there on Friday, January 20, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Sessiaghoneill, at 11am.

Eamonn Gilmartin, Florida / Bundoran

The death has occurred of Eamonn Gilmartin (November 11, 2022) of Winter Park, Florida USA and Ellesmere Avenue, Bundoran.
Peacefully. Adoring husband to the late Felice.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken mother Margaret, his sons Eamonn Jnr & Aiden, his sister Michelle, brother-in-law to Liam & fondly remembered by his nephews Liam Jnr & Finn, his aunt Teresa & his cousins.

Greatly missed by his partner Terri and son Nathan, a large circle of friends and neighbours in Bundoran & Florida.

Funeral Mass for Eamonn will take place on Friday, January 20, at 10am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Bundoran. Interment of ashes afterwards in St. Ninnidh's Cemetery, Bundoran. Eamonn's funeral Mass can be viewed live on www.magheneparish.ie.

Frank Murray, Donegal Town

The death has occurred of Frank Murray, Drimark, Donegal Town. Peacefully, at Letterkenny University Hospital, after a short illness.
Predeceased by his wife Kathleen and his sister Rita. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children David, Vinny, Deirdre, Gavin and Fiona; his sons-in-law John and Daniel; daughters-in-law Karen and Anna; his adoring grandchildren Alanna, Ríonn, Aoibheann, Luke, Katie, Éabha, Dylan and Leah, his brothers Jim, John and Noel, and his sisters Ann and Mary.
 
Frank's remains will be reposing at Gallagher's Funeral Home, Station Road, Mountcharles (eircode F94WN24) on Thursday, January 19, from 3 pm until 8 pm.

Removal from there on Friday, January 20, going to St. Mary’s Church, Killymard, for funeral Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. House strictly private at all times, please. Family flowers only, please.

Edward McMonagle, Milford

The death has occurred of Edward McMonagle, Golan, Milford.

Peacefully, at Letterkenny University Hospital, from Golan, Milford and laterally of Termon, beloved husband of Ann and loving father of Lisa and Shane. Deeply regretted by his wife, son, daughter, sister Rita, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

There will be a private reception into St. Brigid's Church, Golan, on Thursday to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 11am, followed by interment in Milford Cemetery. The house is strictly private.

Philomena McGinty, Barnesmore

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Philomena McGinty, Garvagh, Barnesmore, Donegal Town.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Eamon and her family, sons Joseph (Theresa) Ballyshannon, Eamon (Sarah), Noel (Patsy) Kent, Declan (Jill) England, daughters Jacqueline (Martin Friel) Termon, Marie (Noel) Johnston, Belleek, Martina (Martin McMenamin) and Philomena (Simon Nolan) London.

Sadly missed by her brother Christy (Christine) Ovens, Rossnowlagh, her sister Frances Cooney (Wales) her 25 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and all her relatives, neighbours and friends.  

Reposing at her home in Garvagh. Rosary at 9pm.

Funeral from there on Thursday at 10.30am to St Agatha's Church, Clar for Funeral Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Seamus McKeague, Letterkenny

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Seamus McKeague, 1, Ashlawn, Letterkenny formerly Torr Head, Co. Antrim.

Predeceased by his parents James and Mary and brothers Gerry, John and Patrick. Deeply regretted by his sister Kathleen, retired midwife (Letterkenny), brothers Cornelius (Dublin) and Alex (Rathdowney), nieces, nephews, relatives, in-laws and friends. 

Reposing at the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny on Wednesday afternoon, concluding with removal to the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine, Letterkenny for Reception Prayers at 5pm.

Reposing overnight for 11am Requiem Mass on Thursday which can be viewed online at the Church of the Irish Martyrs YouTube channel followed by interment in the family plot in Conwal Cemetery.

Mary McDevitt, Glenties

The death has occurred of Mary McDevitt (née Mc Cole), 99 Ard Patrick, Glenties and formerly Narin, Portnoo.

Predeceased by her husband Sean. Deeply regretted by her son Seanie and daughters Mary and Karen, sister Kathleen O'Shea, Portlaw, Co. Waterford, son-in-law John McKenna and grandchildren Ryan, Sophie, Conleith and Oran.  

Mary's remains are reposing at her residence this Wednesday evening from 6pm until 10pm.

Removal to St. Connell's Church, Glenties, on Thursday morning for requiem Mass at 11am with interment afterwards in the local cemetery. House private on the morning of the funeral.

John Carter, Buncrana

The death has occurred of John Carter, Willow Grove, Buncrana and formerly of Ballinahone, Fahan.

Son of the late Toby and Margaret Carter RIP, sadly missed by his brothers, sisters , family circle and friends.

Predeceased by his sister Andrena Strain.

Remains will repose at his brother and sister-in-law Tony and Phyllis Carter's residence, 46 Crana View, Buncrana.

Funeral from there on Thursday, January 19 at 10.15am going to St Mura's Church, Fahan for 11am requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time from 10pm until 10am.

Patrick Carlin, Manorcunningham

The death has occurred of Patrick Carlin, 20 Greenhill, Manorcunningham (F92 WK82), formerly of Bogay, Newtowncunningham and Cloonamahon Disability Service, Co Sligo.

Lovingly missed by his sister Kathleen, Noeleen, Geraldine, Ursula brother Joseph, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Patrick was predeceased by his parents Joe and Isobel, his sisters Doreen, Pauline and Evelyn. 

Patrick will be reposing at his sister Ursula Carlin's residence, 20 Greenhill, Manorcunningham, from 3pm on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday from 11am.

Funeral leaving from there on Friday morning at 10.20am going to St. Baithin’s Church, St Johnston, for 11am requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.   

Margaret Houston, Newtowncunningham

The death occurred on December 27 of Margaret Houston (née Gillespie) Moyle, Newtowncunningham, peacefully in Birmingham.

Beloved wife of Peter, loving mother of Pauline, Eamon, Peter and Kieron; mother-in-law of Brendan, Karen, Sarah and Claire-Marie. A much loved grandmother and great-grandmother.

Beloved daughter of the late Charlie and May, sister of Brian and the late Eamon, formerly of Killyverry, Newtowncunningham
A much loved auntie to all her nephews and nieces.
 
Requiem Mass will take place in Mother of God and Guardian Angels Church, Birmingham on Thursday, January 19 at 11.30am before Margaret is taken home to Ireland for burial.

The death has occurred at her late residence of Annie Patton, Castlebane, Stranorlar (F93 X564).

Beloved wife of the late Tony, and much loved mother of Noel, Marie, Bernie, Eileen, Tommy, Charlie, Walter, Bridget, John, Vera, Teresa, and the late Anthony, cherished sister of Kathleen and Nita.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Teresa Leeper, Ballybofey

The tragic death occurred of Teresa Leeper on December 15 in Birmingham.

Teresa will be sadly missed by her loving husband Joe, daughters Caroline and Sharon and son Martin, sons-in-law, daughter- in-law, sisters Bernadette and Rosaleen, brothers-in-law, her adored grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Teresa’s remains will be received into our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Yardley Wood, Birmingham on Monday, January 23 at 6pm to repose overnight.

Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at 11am followed by burial at Widney Manor Cemetery. Teresa's funeral will be live streamed on the following link www.ourladyoflourdesbirmingham.co.uk
