A Carndonagh man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm.
Adam McCarron was before Letterkenny Circuit Court in relation to an incident at Main Street, Clonmany, on September 13, 2021.
The 20-year-old, of Magherard, Carndonagh, was formally arraigned on the charge when he appeared before Judge John Aylmer.
McCarron is charged with driving a vehicle in a manner, including speed, which was likely to be dangerous to the public and causing serious bodily harm to another person, Stephen McLaughlin.
McCarron spoke only to tender a guilty plea during the brief hearing.
Barrister for McCarron, Mr Colm Smyth SC, instructed by solicitor Mr Ciaran Mac Lochlainn, said that the accused may have to be arraigned on other charges.
Mr Smyth said McCarron has no previous convictions and told the court that a probation report would be beneficial.
Judge Aylmer requested a probation report, to include an assessment for suitability for community service.
The case was adjourned to the October sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court.
