Who won the Aintree Grand National? Punters stunned at 33/1 wins dramatic race
Nick Rockett, ridden by Patrick Mullins, has won the Aintree Grand National for his dad and trainer Willie Mullins.
The winner went off as a 33/1 shot and beat last year's winner I Am Maximus in a thrilling finish. Willie Mullins also trained the runner-up, as well as the third horse home in the shape of Grangeclare West.
A 34-strong field went to post with all the big Irish trainers represented. Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott, Henry De Bromhead and Gavin Cromwell all had big runners in the world's most famous steeplechase.

Earlier on the card, it was a good day for the Irish with big wins for Gordon Elliott and Henry De Bromhead. Mark Walsh took the ride on Honesty Policy as he won the Mersey Novices' Hurdle while Darragh O'Keeffe was on board as Hiddenvalley Lake won the Liverpool Hurdle for Henry De Bromhead.
Willie Mullins was in tears as he spoke afterwards after his son rode the winner of the biggest race in the world. ITV had to cut the interview short as the Carlow trainer choked up.
