Nick Rockett, ridden by Patrick Mullins, has won the Aintree Grand National for his dad and trainer Willie Mullins.

The winner went off as a 33/1 shot and beat last year's winner I Am Maximus in a thrilling finish. Willie Mullins also trained the runner-up, as well as the third horse home in the shape of Grangeclare West.

A 34-strong field went to post with all the big Irish trainers represented. Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott, Henry De Bromhead and Gavin Cromwell all had big runners in the world's most famous steeplechase.
