Friday night's Burnfoot Music Lessons Recital was a big occasion for Eleanor Lamberton's music students as they performed for family and friends in Fahan Presbyterian Church Hall.
Speaking to Inish Times / Inish Live, a delighted Eleanor said it had all gone very well.
“All of the parents and the kids seemed to enjoy the evening. My sister, who was in the audience, said people were relaxed and happy to be there, so that's a nice bonus as well.”
Eleanor taught her students online during the pandemic, only resuming in person lessons in September past.
She said: “Some of the students who performed on Friday evening have only started since September, so that was nice. Some have been with me a bit longer.
“We started the recital with the youngest and went up to the oldest and that was nice to see the progression of piano as well, as the songs got a bit more intricate.
“I think the audience enjoyed the event atmosphere as well. I tried to find the balance between laid back and casual but also knowing, especially for the kids, it was a big deal for them. They all got on well,” said Eleanor.
If any young people are interested in starting music lessons in September, Eleanor can be contacted through the Burnfoot Music Lessons Facebook page.
