Calling all home builders and renovators! Don't miss the best homes show in the North West

Donegal's New Build and Re-build Exhibition 2023 takes place from March 10 to March 12

Calling all home builders and renovators! Don't miss the best homes show in the North West

Prospective home builders and renovators are invited to attend the biggest homes show in the North West this week.

Taking place from March 10 to March 12, Donegal's New Build and Re-build Exhibition is back for another year, featuring an array of local professionals and suppliers in the construction and home interior industries.

The popular event will run over three days from 12pm to 6pm in the spacious grand room of the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny.

People in the region on a home-building, home buying or renovation journey will get the opportunity to talk face-to-face with local professionals including architects, quantity surveyors, and lenders.

Landscaping experts will be on hand at the weekend to discuss the equally important area outside the home, as well as renewable energy experts, who will offer information on the supply and fitting of heat pumps, solar panels and pellet stoves.

Business owners are also encouraged to attend alongside the general public to see how they can make their business more cost effective with renewable energy.

There will be discounts and offers throughout the weekend and admission to the exhibition is FREE.

As part of the weekend's itinerary, the Mica Action Group (MAG) will also be on hand to offer updates and advice on the planning process and costs of rebuilding, as well as information on available grants and financing options.

A spokesperson from MAG, Lisa Hone, said, "We'll actually have our stand as we did last year and there will be committee members on the stand and some volunteers who will try and give as much up-to-date information as we possibly can to home owners."

According to Lisa, MAG is also hoping to run an information seminar over the course of the show providing information on the current redress scheme.

She continued, "We recognise this is a situation a lot of people have not chosen to enter into, they're forced into having to rebuild a home and that can be quite disconcerting if you are not familiar with things.

"We'd just like to be as helpful as we possibly can be at the show, whether it be particular to their situation or general advice. As much information as we have."

Organisers would like to thank all their main sponsors, including Allied Irish Bank, Advanced Timber Frames, McDaids Plumbing & Bathrooms, McGee Insulation, Floor It, Efficient Renewables and Patterson’s Kitchens.
