General Election: One Donegal voter gave a ringing endorsement with his ballot

One Donegal man lost his wedding ring while casting his vote in the General Election on Friday.

The man’s ring fell into the ballot box as he cast a vote at Scoil Eoghain in Moville.

Box number 55 at the count centre in the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny was marked to ensure the safe return of the ring to its owner, via 100% Redress Councillor Ali Farren.

Counting of votes is underway in Letterkenny. Boxes were opened from 9am with the boxes from Inishowen the first to be opened.
