Club-by-Club guide to the Donegal Intermediate Championship

Cloughaneely were last year's Donegal IFC winners having lost their previous two finals and they leave behind a competition so fierce few can be confident of picking a winner. Here's the hopefuls

Burt
Manager: Ciaran Dowds
Last year championship: Ended up saving themselves in the IFC by beating St Mary’s Convoy in the relegation semi-finals
This year's ACFL: Won Division 3.
First two opponents: Dungloe home; Malin away
Prospects: It has been a good year for Ciaran Dowds and his Burt team, very consistent in Division 3 and winning the final against Naomh Brid. The championship presents an even tougher test as they have to meet many of the big guns with Dungloe and Malin for starters. Like a number of teams, getting to the quarter-finals would represent success.
