Club-by-Club guide to the Donegal Intermediate Championship

Cloughaneely were last year's Donegal IFC winners having lost their previous two finals and they leave behind a competition so fierce few can be confident of picking a winner. Here's the hopefuls

Gaeil Fhánada
Manager: Aidan McAteer
Last year's championship: Lost out to Buncrana in IFC quarter-final
This year's ACFL: Finished seventh in Division 2
First two opponents: Termon home; Dungloe away
Prospects: Has been a good year so far for McAteer's charges, winning the Donegal and All-Ireland junior Gaeltacht titles and they have also been competitive in the league. Have a tough schedule in the championship with Termon and Dungloe, two of the big guns, providing the opposition in the first two games. Should make the quarter-finals though.
Star man: Bernard McGettigan
