Carndonagh prove too hot to handle for Naomh Colmcille in lop-sided IFC clash

Carndonagh made it two wins from two in the Junior A Championship with a runaway win over Naomh Colmcille in Foden on Saturday night.

Fergal Doherty, Donal Doherty and substitute Kyran Cantwell scored the goals for the locals who had the game in the bag from a long way out. 

Fergal Doherty also kicked six points and Donal posted three while Padraig Doherty also nailed three points in what was a one-sided encounter. 

James Monagle, John O’Callaghan and Cathal Doherty also kicked points for the winners while Stephen Gallagher was once again the leading scorer for Naomh Colmcille. 

Sharpshooter Gallagher hit five points, Reece Duncan three and Hugh O’Donnell one for the men from Newtown as they slumped to their second big defeat in the championship.  

Carndonagh were once again with their county ace Conor O’Donnell as he continues his recovery from injury.
