Carndonagh made the long journey to Pettigo on Sunday a very profitable one with an easy victory over the locals, who were playing in the higher championship after their victory last year.

But the higher level proved a step too far for Pettigo, who trailed by 0-12 to 0-3 at the break.

It was very much  one-way traffic in the second half as Carndonagh, although missing their county star Conor O’Donnell, found the net four times.

Pettigo scorers: Aidy Briton 0-2; Ollie McCaughey, Johnny McManus, John Carrigan, Paddy Carr 0-1 each.

Carndonagh scorers: Cian Doherty 1-8; Cian Burke 2-2; Donal Doherty 1-1; Fergal Doherty 0-4; Padraig Doherty 0-2; Ryan Kelly, Cathal Doherty, Eoghan Kelly 0-1 each.
