Donegal 1-10
Louth 2-6

Donegal are celebrating U-16 All-Ireland camogie success this week following Sunday’s All-Ireland C Shield camogie final win over Louth in Abbotstown.

Leah Hegarty nailed the winning point in the closing minutes - the first time Donegal took the lead in what was an absorbing contest to turn the tables on Louth who had won the sides’ previous group game by a point.

Allison Tourish scored the crucial second-half goal and also posted two points while team captain Caitriona McKinney capped a brilliant performance with four points.

On a day of top drawer performances all over the pitch Cassie Lamb, Paige Rushe, Aoibhinn Wallace and Leah Hegarty all raised white flags.

Midfielder Aoibhinn Wallace was named ‘player of the match’ and was presented with the award by former president of the Camogie Association Phyllis Breslin.
