Donegal's previous nine All-Ireland championship semi-finals

On Sunday Donegal will take on Galway in Croke Park in what will be their tenth All-Ireland semi-final, six under the management of Brian McEniff and three under the management of Jim McGuinness

19th August:  Donegal 1-7  Meath 3-9

Donegal's fourth semi-final was a much closer affair than the scoreboard suggests. Level 1-4 each at half-time Meath were just a point ahead on 60 minutes before a two-goal blitz ended the contest, the first from Brian Stafford and a second from Bernard Flynn.

Donegal: Gary Walsh; Matt Gallagher, Paul Carr, John Cunningham; Donal Reid, Martin Gavigan, Martin Shovlin; Anthony Molloy (capt), Brian Murray; James McHugh, Martin McHugh (0-1,f), Joyce McMullin; Declan Bonner (0-3,1f), Tony Boyle (0-1), Manus Boyle (1-2,pen,1f).

Subs: Tommy Ryan for J McHugh; Luke Gavigan for M McHugh; John Ban Gallagher for Murray.

Meath: Donal Smyth; Robbie O'Malley, Mick Lyons, Terry Ferguson; Martin O'Connell, Kevin Foley, Brendan Reilly; Liam Hayes, Colm Brady; David Beggy (0-1),  PJ Gillic (0-4), Tommy Dowd; Colm O'Rourke, Brian Stafford (1-2,1f, Bernard Flynn (2-2).
