Patrick McBrearty and Ryan McHugh were Donegal's two players named on the Team of the Week
Kilcar duo Ryan McHugh and Patrick McBrearty have been selected for the GAA.ie Football Team of the Week following their impressive performances against Clare in Castlebar which saw Jim McGuinness's side progress on a 2-23 to 0-5 scoreline.
They had 24 points to spare at MacHale Park and were never in trouble.
Donegal needed a convincing win and for Tyrone to defeat Cork, and they started perfectly with McHugh scoring a goal into the roof of the net within five minutes.
The defender also contributed an additional four points from play, while his teammate was equally effective.
McBrearty scored five points, four from play, demonstrating his return to top form on Saturday at MacHale Park. As a result, Donegal advance directly to the All-Ireland quarter-finals, scheduled for the weekend of June 29/30 at Croke Park.
