Moville maintained their good run of form with a hard-fought narrow Division 3 win away in Pettigo on Sunday afternoon. 

Just a single point separated the sides at the final with Danny Murphy’s first half goal the game's decisive score.

Moville led by three points at half-time and went four up on the restart before the locals, with Ollie McCaughey flawless from frees, pulled it back to a point.

But that was as close as Pettigo got and Moville, with their backs to the wall, held on to continue their good start to the season. 

Ollie McCaughey top scored with seven points for the hosts while Murphy, with a goal and a point, and Christy Hegarty with three points, carried the main scoring threat for Moville. 

The defeat was a third game this season  Pettigo have lost by a point. 

Pettigo scorers: Ollie McCaughey 0-7, 5f; Eoghan McGoldrick, Johnny McManus, Sean Maher 0-1. 

Moville scorers: Danny Murphy 1-1; Christy Hegarty 0-3; Seimi McLaughlin 0-2; Declan Diver, Evan Hudner, Joshua Lafferty 0-1 each.
