Keenan Diver scored a late goal as Naomh Colmcille snatched the win over Robert Emmets at a windy Emmet Park at the weekend.

Robert Emmets had led by three points, 0-4 to 0-1, at half-time as Storm Kathleen played havoc with both teams’ shooting.

Diver, who was sprung from the subs bench at the break, had a huge overall influence on the game and points from the likes of Tiernan Browne and Stephen Gallagher brought Naomh Colmcille back into the game.

And with clock ticking on full-time, a long ball into the Robert Emmets goalmouth broke to Diver who drove to the back of the net as his side led for the first time in the game.

Dylan McNamee - who was in sparkling form in front of the post for the locals - posted six points in a ‘man of the match’ performance at centre half-forward and was the only Emmets player to score.
