Donegal 4-01
Wicklow 5-11

Donegal minor ladies camogie team were defeated by Wicklow to Convoy at the weekend.

The hosts had made a dream start after Allison Tourish took on her marker, ran thirty yards and, blasted the ball into the Wicklow net.

Wicklow responded with a quick point, however, Donegal were first to attack the ball in a goal mouth scramble and hit the net once more.

After this Wicklow started to find their range with a goal of their own and some well-taken points from play. Tourish hit the net once again and a youthful Donegal team found themselves in the lead at half time on a scoreline of 3-1 to 1-5.

The second half started brightly for Wicklow as they hit the net almost immediately and followed up with a couple of points.

From then on, Wicklow’s experience kicked in and they ran out comfortable winners. A late goal from Sarah Lambe was a mere consolidation for Donegal. The side now travels to Mayo on April 7 for their next outing.
