31 mins: Donegal 3-6 Monaghan 0-2: Thompson fires for goal but Ryan O'Toole blocks the effort down. However, the Monaghan defender inadvertently touches the ball on the ground and a penalty is awarded. Gallen buries the spot kick. 

29 mins: Donegal 2-6 Monaghan 0-2: Oisin Caulfield finds himself in space on the right and the Na Rossa man eases the ball over the crossbar. 

25 mins: Monaghan 0-2 Donegal 2-5: Monaghan substitute Stephen Mooney arrows over a free from the left hand side.

23 mins: Donegal 2-5 Monaghan 0-1: Donegal continue to move impressively as Shane O'Donnell, with the help of the outstretched fingertips of McDonnell, moves his team onto 2-5. 

19 mins: Donegal 2-4 Monaghan 0-1: Jeaic Mac Ceallbhuí arrows a superb ball in over the Farney rearguard and Odhran Doherty riffles to the top corner for a second Donegal goal.

17 mins: Donegal 1-4 Monaghan 0-1: Donegal turning over Monaghan at will and another lightning counter sees McBrearty and Gallen again combine with Brennan kicking the point.  

16 mins: Donegal 1-3 Monaghan 0-1: Barry McBennett gets Monaghan off the mark but Brennan makes sure Donegal stay five clear.

13 mins: Thompson cuts out a stray cross-field ball from Monaghan and the hosts are again caught on the counter. Thompson moves it onto Gallen and he immediately heads for goal. Drawing the keeper he squares it to Brennan who palms home. However, the Bundoran man had drifted into the square and the three-pointer is ruled out. Careless from Donegal 

11 mins: Both McDonnell and Shaun Patton are called into action as Ciaran Thompson is denied at one end and David Gartland down the other. 

8 mins: Donegal 1-2 Monaghan 0-0: Gallen fires over another Donegal point as the visitors go five clear. 

7 mins: Donegal 1-1 Monaghan 0-0: Monaghan again stripped of possession and Donegal break. Patrick McBrearty and Oisin Gallen combine to send Jamie Brennan galloping in and the Bundoran man elects to clip over the crossbar. 

4 mins, Donegal 1-0 Monaghan 0-0: Monaghan 'keeper Darren McDonnell wanders early on but with Odhran Doherty turning Monaghan over inside Donegal's half, the ball is quickly moved to Oisin Gallen and - from distance - he guides the ball into an empty net

Ten minutes out from throw-in, Donegal have made one change from the listed programme sheet with Gaoth Dobhair's Donal Mac Giolla Bhríde coming in at full-back for Brendan McCole. Ardara's Karl Joseph Molloy has been listed on the substitutes bench...
