The local elections in Inishowen are to be contested by 21 candidates seeking nine seats on Donegal County Council.
The field for the two local electoral areas in the peninsula has increased by two compared to 2019.
Twelve candidates are seeking election in the Buncrana local electoral area (LEA) in the June 7 vote with a further nine seeking seats in the Carndonagh LEA.
Sinn Féin is running the largest number of candidates - five, with three in Buncrana and two in Carndonagh.
Fianna Fáil is running three, two in Buncrana LEA and one in the Carndonagh LEA. Fine Gael, The Green Party, The Irish People party and the 100% Redress Party are running one candidate in each LEA.
Aontú is running one candidate in the Buncrana LEA while Labour is running one in the Carndonagh area.
Two non-party candidates are running in the Buncrana area with one contesting in Carndonagh.
Nominations to contest the 37 seats on Donegal County Council closed on Saturday, with 91 nominations submitted.
Three sitting candidates are seeking re-election in Buncrana with all four councillors elected in the Carndonagh LEA in 2019 contesting seats again.
The candidates seeking election in the Buncrana LEA are: Joy Beard (100% Redress), Eamon McGee (non-party), Adrian McMyler (non-party), Jack Murray (Sinn Féin), Niamh McGuinness (Sinn Féin), Terry Crossan (Sinn Féin), Peter McLaughlin (Fine Gael), Jason Le Masurier (Green Party), Kim McMenamin (The Irish People), Fionán Bradley, (Fianna Fáil), Paul Canning (Fianna Fáil) and Liam Mulligan (Aontú).
In the Carndonagh LEA, the candidates are: Ali Farren (100% Redress), Michael White (Green Party), Martin Farren (Labour Party), Toni Devine (Sinn Féin), Albert Doherty (Sinn Féin), Johnny McGuinness (Fine Gael), Martin McDermott (Fianna Fáil), Paul Barry McKinney (non-party) and Donal McKinney (The Irish People).
