The following deaths have occurred:

Madeline Carroll, Letterkenny

The death has taken place of Madeline Carroll née Peoples, 5 Fr McLoone Terrace, Oldtown Road, Letterkenny, surrounded by her family and in the loving care of the Staff of Hillcrest House, Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her husband Joe and sister Kathleen, Madeline will be deeply missed by her loving children Catherine, Joe, Paul, Helena and Desie, sister Vera (Killiney, Dublin), brother Patrick and sister-in-law Phyllis (Dundee, Scotland), daughters-in-law Ann, Donna and Caitriona, son-in-law Mervyn, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Madeline’s remains are reposing at her late residence from 6pm to 9pm on Sunday and from 12 noon to 9pm on Monday with Rosary each night at 9pm. Family time please on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral from there on Tuesday, going to St Eunan’s Cathedral for 12.30pm Requiem Mass which can be viewed online at https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny

Interment will take place afterwards in the family plot in New Leck Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations, if wished, to Hillcrest House Nursing Home, Residents Comfort Fund, c/o Paschal Blake, Funeral Director, Stoney Arch, New Line Rd, Letterkenny or any family member.

Patsy Sweeney, Letterkenny

The peaceful death has occurred, in the Donegal Hospice, of Patsy Sweeney, Greenhill, Letterkenny, formerly Castlewray, surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his wife Vera, sons Patrick Joseph Jnr, John Paul, their partners and grandsons Tiarna and Fionn.

Patsy's remains will repose at his late residences from 4pm to 10pm Sunday and from 11am to 10pm Monday with Rosary both nights at 9pm. Family time on the morning of the funeral, please.

Removal from there on Tuesday at 10am, going to St Eunan's Cathedral, Letterkenny, for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed on https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny

Interment will take place afterwards in St Mary's Church graveyard, Ramelton.

Maureen Duffy, Bundoran

The death has occurred peacefully at home in her 101st year, of Maureen Duffy, Shene Ave, West End, Bundoran and formerly of Fassaugh, Belleek, County Fermanagh. 

Beloved sister of Annie McCauley, Bundoran, Kathleen McGrath, Bundoran and sister-in-law to Josie Duffy. Deeply regretted by her loving nieces and nephews, Vincent McGrath, Kieran McCauley, Yvonne McCauley, Colm McCauley, Jenny Harte, Raymond Harte, Noel Harte, Paschal Harte, Geraldine Campbell, Siobhan Duffy, Fergal Duffy, Ronan Duffy, Thomas Duffy and James Duffy.

Predeceased by her parents Mary Kate and Patrick Duffy, her sister Peggy Harte, brothers Tom Duffy and Jim Duffy, niece Pam Harte and brothers-in-law Patsy McGrath and Harry McCauley.  

Reposing at the McCauley family home, Shene Ave, West End, Bundoran on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. House private at all other times please.

Removal on Monday at 10.30am to arrive at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bundoran for Mass of the Resurrection at 11am. Burial afterwards in the Abbey Cemetery, Ballyshannon.

Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Maureen to the North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo care of donation box at family home/church or by post to Donal Breslin at Breslin's Funeral Home, Bundoran.

Francie Boyle (Boyle Owen), Tubberkeen

The death has occurred in Letterkenny University Hospital of Francie Boyle (Boyle Owen), Tubberkeen, formerly Mullaghduff and Manchester.

His remains will be reposing in McGlynn’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 5pm with rosary at 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in Star of the Sea Church, Annagry, with interment afterwards in the new cemetery.

Stephen Butler, Carndonagh

The death has taken place at his late residence of Stephen Butler, Gort na Cool, Carndonagh.

Remains reposing at his residence.

Funeral from there on Monday at 10.15am going to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

House private from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Donegal Hospice c/o any family member or Porter Funeral Directors.

Geraldine Brennan, Castlefin

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Geraldine Brennan, née Bonar, 18 Emmet Park, Castlefin.

Beloved wife of John and much loved mother of Steven, Joanna, John, Alan, Denise, Christina, Diana and partners, cherished sister of Angela and Eunan, dearly loved grandmother to grandchildren, Ami-Leigh, Arianna-Grace, Mia, Lucy, Tommy, and Joey.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughters, brother, sister, grandchildren, nephew Terry, nieces, Theresa and Laura, extended family, and friends.  

The house is private to family and close friends only please. 

Funeral leaving her late residence on Monday at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Castlefin.

Cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. The Requiem Mass will be streamed live via the Parish Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/urneycastlefinnparish

Marina McNair, Letterkenny

The death has occurred of Marina McNair (née Fisher) 3, McNeely Villas, Letterkenny, predeceased by her daughter Janice and sister May.

Deeply regretted by her husband John, daughter Maureen (Letterkenny), son Rev. Jackie and his wife Andrea (Ballynahinch, Co. Down) sister Veronica O’Donnell (Correnagh) and brothers David (Muckish Avenue), Bertie (Drumkeen) and Karl (Dromore), grandchildren Simon, Alex and Daithi, in-laws, relatives and friends. 

Marina’s remains are reposing overnight at Conwal Parish Church for Funeral Service at 2pm on Monday followed by burial in the family plot in Gortlee Cemetery.

Kathleen Coughlin, Ballyshannon 

The death has occurred of Kathleen Coughlin, 41 St. Belinda's Avenue, Ballyshannon, peacefully in The Rock Nursing Unit  Ballyshannon.  

Reposing at John McGee & Sons Funeral Home, Belleek Rd, Ballyshannon, F94 ED21, on Sunday, from 4pm to 8pm.

Removal on Monday morning to St Patrick's Church for 11am funeral Mass with burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Cashelard. Kathleen's funeral Mass can be viewed live on https://www.churchservices.tv/stpatricksballyshannon
