Patrick Ferry, Rathmullan
The death has occurred, in his 92nd year, of Patrick (Paddy) Ferry, late of Sienna, Drogheda, Co. Louth, Lahardan, Rathmullan, Co. Donegal and Divine Word Missionaries, Roscommon.
He passed away peacefully after a long illness, bravely borne.
Paddy, beloved husband of the late Patricia (Pat, née McEvoy). Predeceased by his brother Charlie and sister-in-law Rita. Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, cousins, goddaughter Grace, brother-in-law Ben and extended family.
Reposing at the home of Mary McDonnell, Moon Haven, Oulster Lane, Drogheda (A92 EHW5) on Friday from 5pm until 7pm.
Removal on Saturday afternoon at 1.30pm to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Drogheda arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm which can be viewed live here. Burial afterwards in Newtown Cross Lawn Cemetery.
Vincent McGloin, Ballyshannon
The death has occurred of Vincent McGloin on December 29, 2025, late of Upper Abbey, Ballyshannon and New Jersey, USA.
Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers, Joe (Breda), Alo (Francis), sisters-in-law Geri(Francis), Dina(Benny), nieces & nephews, grand nieces & nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Benny, John (Maureen), Francis, sisters Catherine Albury (Joe), Anna Loughlin (Andrew), Mary Slattery (Jack).Nephews John Loughlin, John McGloin. Sisters-in-law Maureen Pettett Mc Gloin, Mary McGovern McGloin.
Sadly missed by his many friends, and neighbours.
Vincent, born into a farming family, spent his younger years as a pupil of De La Salle and working on the farm.
During the summer he enjoyed salmon fishing on the Erne estuary. He had a great interest in sport, especially Gaelic football and spoke keenly about the local team Abbey Shamrocks.
In the mid sixties, like many of that era he emigrated to England, traveling on to the USA shortly after that. In the USA he began working with the Local 15 iron workers union, in Hartford, Connecticut, of which he was a proud member for over fifty years.
On his retirement he moved from Hartford to New Jersey, and he split his time between there and his home in the Abbey. As an avid reader, he would be seen with his favorite newspapers, and often regaled us with interesting stories from them.
Late in 2025 he was admitted to hospital, and after a short illness he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Interment of his ashes at the Abbey Cemetery, Ballyshannon, on Saturday, April 18 at 3pm.
Jack (John) Mackey, Ramelton
The peaceful death has taken place, after a short illness, of Jack (John) Mackey, Church Street, Ramelton, F92 F4W6.
Predeceased by his parents, Deish and Susan and his brother David.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving fiancée Beryl, daughter Laine, granddaughter Riley, stepsons Kieran and Ryan, brother Jim (Teresa) and George (Yana), sisters Frances (Gerry) and Nora, sister-in-law Melek, nieces and nephews Michelle, Rachel, Alex, Myles, Marcella, Claudia, Claire (Halim), Michelle (Andrew) and Sharon (Fergal), extended family and friends.
Reposing at his home today, Thursday, April 16 from 6pm until 10pm and on Friday from 12noon until 10pm.
Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Bernie Craig Connolly, Ardara
The peaceful death has occurred of Bernie Craig Connolly, 20 Drumaghy Park, Ardara, Co. Donegal, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Donegal Hospice.
Beloved mother to Craig and Saragh, Bernie will be sadly missed by her sisters Bridget and Rosemary, brothers John (Patricia), Leonard (Mary), Paddy (Jean), nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Frank and Mona, brother Frankie and her husband Pete.
Her remains will repose at McCabe’s Funeral Home on Thursday, April 16 from 12pm to 9pm and on Friday, April 17, from 12pm to 6pm, followed by removal to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara at 7pm.
Requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Saturday, April 18 followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Anthony Barry, Magheroarty and Dublin
The death has occurred of Anthony Barry, Balally, Dublin and formerly Magheroarty.
Late of RTÉ. Beloved husband of the late Catherine, loving dad of Anthony, Mark and Quentin, adored papa of Leah, James, Olivia, Anna Grace and Frank.
Tony will be deeply missed and remembered always by his loving family, his daughters-in-law Mary, Amanda and Catherine, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his home on Friday, April 17 from 5pm - 8pm. Funeral mass on Saturday, at 10am, in the Church of the Ascension of the Lord, Balally with burial thereafter in Shanganagh Cemetery.

The peaceful death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Bernard O’Donnell, The Grove, Bunlin, Milford, F92 CK71.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, daughter Bernadette, son Seamus, daughter-in-law Mary, granddaughter Holly Anne, nephew Gerard, nieces Kathleen and Martina, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sister, Mary.
Reposing at his home on Wednesday, April 15th from 5pm until 10pm and on Thursday from 12 noon until 10pm.

Brídgin Bonar, Dungloe
The death has occurred of Brídgin Bonar (née Balfe) Dungloe and formerly of Anglesea Road, Dublin.
She passed away on April 12, peacefully in the excellent care of Nightingale Ward, Blackrock Clinic.
Beloved wife of 60 years to Declan, loving mother to Sarah, Barbara and Brian and proud grandmother to Isabella, Emily and Alexandra.
Sadly missed by her loving family, sons in law Craig and Barry, Brian’s partner Avila, sisters Mairead and Catherine, fond friends Breid Boyle and Cróna McCole, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces and friends.
Her remains will repose in McGlynns Funeral Home, Dungloe (F94ND68) on Wednesday April 15 from 3pm until Rosary at 8pm and on Thursday from 4pm to 6pm followed by private removal to her home.

Jim Muldowney, Arranmore
The sudden death has taken place of Jim (James) Muldowney, Ballard, Arranmore, formerly of Lahardane, Co Mayo.
Sadly missed by his wife Noreen, daughter Emma and son in law Patrick, his granddaughters Elsie, Isobel & Jessica.
His parents James & Mary, and sisters Moyà and Adrieanne, nieces & nephews, brothers and sisters in law and extended family.
Responding at his home until after rosary (9pm) on Tuesday and Wednesday. Family only on the morning of the Funeral.
Funeral on Thursday at 11am with burial afterwards in the local cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Irish Coastguard care of Mc Glynn Funeral Directors.
Moya Brennan, Gweedore
The peaceful death has occurred at her home of Moya Brennan (Jarvis) of Upper Dore, Gweedore.
Predeceased by her father Leo Brennan, brother Leon Brennan, uncles Noel and Padraig Duggan and aunt Bríd Duggan.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Tim Jarvis, daughter Aisling (Kayleigh), son Paul (Lara), granddaughter Eden, mother Máire (Baba) Brennan, sisters Deirdre, Enya, Olive and Brídín, brothers Ciarán, Pól and Bartley and extended family and many friends.

The sudden death has occurred of Kevin Molloy, Clontarf, Dublin 3 and Glenties, Co Donegal.
Predeceased by his parents, Connell and Christina Molloy.
Survived by his son Eric, daughter Stephanie and their mother Colette.
Loved and sadly missed by his brothers Connell, Robert, Charlie, Laurence, Derek and Brendan.

The death has taken place of Frank McSwiggan, Gortnasillagh, Glenties on Sunday, April 12, peacefully in Galway University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents, John & Mary Kate, sisters, Mary and Nora and brother-in-law Tony.
Frank will be sadly missed by his wife Rose, daughter Michelle (Pauric), son Francis (Kiera), his five beautiful grandchildren, Cára, Ava, Darragh, Emily and Shane. Brothers, Jimmy (Maura) & John, sister Annette, nephews & niece, neighbours and many friends.
Frank’s remains will repose at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara F94 A250 on Tuesday, April 14 from 3pm to 8pm.
On Wednesday, Frank will rest in his family home.

Croí provided Frank’s family with accommodation in Galway, which enabled them to be with him during his final days comfortably.
